CBD Basics
What is broad-spectrum CBD?
Broad-spectrum CBD includes CBD plus naturally occurring minor cannabinoids and terpenes, with THC “dialed out” to non-detectable levels.
Will broad-spectrum CBD make me feel “high”?
No. Our products are THC-free (non-detectable on current COAs) and aren’t formulated to be intoxicating. Experiences vary—start low and build your routine gradually.
Will I pass a drug test if I use broad-spectrum CBD?
Yes. Broad-spectrum CBD will not cause THC levels to be detected in a drug test..
What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?
A body-wide signaling network that helps maintain balance (homeostasis). It includes receptors (CB1/CB2), your body’s endocannabinoids, and supporting proteins. (See ECS Basics on our Learn page.)
Legality & Safety
Is hemp-derived CBD legal?
Federal law says yes, as long as the THC content is less than 0.03% of the finished product, by weight. Idaho and Kansas require 0%THC. At DaCrema, our products have no detectable level of THC, so they are legal everywhere in the US. Also, they are safe for your pets!
Are there any contraindications for CBD use?
Yes, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with known allergies should not use CBD products. People with liver disease should consult their doctor before use.
Where can I find your lab results and policies?
See Lab Tests & COAs for batch reports and the Policies page for shipping and returns.
Choosing & Using CBD
How do I choose between drops and topicals?
Sublingual Drops: support whole-body balance and CBD relief to your entire system, providing relief for mood and rest.
Topicals (Cream/Salve/Massage Oil/Lip Balm): focus care locally where applied; external use only.
Many people use both drops for daily steadiness, and a topical for specific areas. (Deeper guide: Formats & the ECS → Learn page.)
Drops vs. Topicals:
Drops provide systemic CBD relief, can improve mood and rest, and can provide calming relief. Drops are designed to provide cannabinoid relief to your CB1 receptors, found in the brain and central nervous system.
Topicals are designed to provide localized relief, helping skin, tissues, and organs at the CB2 receptor level, found throughout the body and in the peripheral nervous system.
What’s the best way to start?
Start low and go slow. Follow label directions, use consistently for several days, then adjust amount and timing. (See Build Your Routine → Learn page.)
Can I combine them?
Yes. It is common to combine drops with topicals. Keep in mind that drops create a calming effect on mood while topicals relieve local discomfort.
